Granada Guardia Civil receives 75 new agents

The Granada Command of the Guardia Civil has received 75 new agents to bolster services across the province. Of these new recruits, 16 will be stationed within the Granada Metropolitan Area, the most populated region in the province.

Sub-delegate of the Government in Granada, José Antonio Montilla, and Colonel Javier Arteaga welcomed the agents, providing them with deployment instructions and operational context. The new personnel will be distributed among various specialized units, including the Maritime Service, Judicial Police, Seprona, Greim, and administrative and operational support units. The reinforcement aims to increase police presence in municipalities, strengthen service delivery, and improve prevention and response capabilities.

In 2026, the planned workforce for the Granada Command increased by 96 positions to a total of 2,231. The actual number of effective agents has grown from 1,898 to 2,045, representing an increase of 147 agents compared to the same period last year.
