Granada hosts immersive virtual reality experience ‘Los sentidos de Andalucía’

Fundación Unicaja has launched ‘Los sentidos de Andalucía’, an immersive virtual reality experience located in the Rey Soler building in Granada. The 25-minute program transports visitors to 13th-century Andalusia, allowing them to inhabit the role of a young man searching for his missing sister.

Artistic director Jordi Sellas noted that unlike other metaverse projects that place users in the roles of famous painters, this experience features an original narrative. To ensure historical accuracy, the project involved documentation work by professors from the University of Granada. The technology allows users to interact with their digital environment, performing actions such as filling glasses with water or tossing coins.
