Granada man surrenders after attacking pedestrian with fishing hook

A man has surrendered to the police in Granada, Spain, following a violent confrontation triggered by a traffic dispute in the Lancha del Genil area. The incident occurred on a Monday night when a pedestrian confronted a driver for nearly hitting a couple at a pedestrian crossing.

According to reports, the driver exited his vehicle, retrieved a metal fishing hook from his trunk, and used it to pierce the pedestrian's arm. The attacker then secured the victim to a railing, leaving him immobilized. Emergency services and firefighters had to intervene, using bolt cutters to free the man from the hook before he could be transported to a hospital for surgery.

After initially evading immediate arrest despite being identified via security footage, the suspect surrendered to the National Police following successful negotiations. He remains in custody while legal proceedings are prepared.
