Granada metropolitan road projects await new Spanish government
The upcoming Spanish government following the November 29 elections faces several critical infrastructure challenges in the Granada metropolitan area. Key priorities include improving connectivity and mobility in the province's most populated region.
Major projects include the completion of the GR43 highway between Atarfe and Granada city, connecting it to the A92G. There is also a demand to extend this highway toward Pinos Puente and other municipalities such as Fuente Vaqueros and Valderrubio to improve connections with Córdoba via the N432. Additionally, the resolution of the A44 connection for the municipalities of Cúllar Vega and Belicena remains a pending issue, as the project has been undergoing environmental processing.
