Granada religious event and Nicaraguan cultural tourism

In Granada, Spain, the image of the Virgin of the Angustias of Pinos Puente will lead the Vigil of the Immaculate on December 7 at the Granada Cathedral. The Federation of Brotherhoods and Cofradías of Granada accepted the proposal from the Pinos Puente patronal brotherhood, a move supported by the Pinos Puente City Council. The image, which underwent restoration this year, will be temporarily housed in a church near the Cathedral prior to the procession.

In Granada, Nicaragua, the colonial city is promoting family tourism through its historical sites and gastronomy. The Casa de los Tres Mundos, a 300-year-old building declared a National Cultural Heritage site in February 2026, serves as a cultural and culinary center offering traditional dishes such as caballo bayo and vigorón. Visitors can also explore the Central Park, the Malecón, and the Granada Tourist Center, which offers boat tours of the islets in the Great Lake of Nicaragua.
