Granati and Jitariuc win 10,000 euros on ‘Buy It Now’

Giovanni Granati and Anna Athena Jitariuc, innovators from Campli, Abruzzo, have won the first episode of the Italian television show ‘Buy It Now – Mai più senza’ on the NOVE network. The couple secured the 10,000 euro prize for their patented MOV (Magnetic Olfactive Visual) system, a technology designed to ethically and effectively deter pigeons using integrated magnetic, olfactory, and visual stimuli.

The winners, consisting of an engineer/economist and a biotechnologist/dentist, presented their project to a jury including Mara Maionchi, Giorgio Mastrota, and Stefano D’Onghia. The new program, hosted by Gabriele Corsi, features inventors presenting unique objects in 90-second pitches to win funding.

Granati and Jitariuc plan to present further technological projects, including drones and terrestrial rovers, at the BEX (Beyond Exploration Expo) in Rimini from September 23 to 25.
