Grand Avignon launches home vegetation shredding service
Grand Avignon has launched a home vegetation shredding service for residents of its territory, including Entraigues-sur-la-Sorgue, to help reduce green waste and limit trips to recycling centers.
The service aims to facilitate ecological waste management by converting branches and brush into mulch or compost, which helps nourish soil and conserve water. The service is available from October 1 to March 12, operating Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to avoid disturbing bird nesting periods.
Residents can book sessions of 1, 1.5, or 2 hours at a rate of €30 per hour, payable by check. The service is eligible for a 50% tax deduction. Technical requirements include a minimum volume of 3 m³ and a maximum of 25 m³, with branches must be 8 cm in diameter or less. Certain plants, such as plane trees, ivy, and brambles, are prohibited.
