Grand Canyon Skywalk: Peter Giesel criticizes fees and phone restrictions

TV presenter Peter Giesel visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona as part of his Kabel Eins program, ‘Achtung Abzocke - Urlaubsbetrügern auf der Spur’, which investigates travel scams.

During the trip, Giesel encountered restrictions at the Skywalk, a horseshoe-shaped glass observation platform. Upon entering, he was informed that mobile phones, bags, and bottles are prohibited on the bridge, resulting in his phone being confiscated. Giesel criticized the facility, describing it as a ‘building of rip-offs’ due to the associated costs and restrictions.

The excursion included a guided bus tour via the Hoover Dam costing 130 euros per person, plus an additional 54 euros for entry to the Skywalk.
