Grand Casino Prilly to open in Vaud

The Grand Casino Prilly is scheduled to open this Thursday in the Lausanne region. Located in a renovated building across from the Vaudoise aréna, the facility spans 1,500 square meters and features 300 slot machines, eight gaming tables, and 110 employees.

Developed at a cost of 69 million francs, the casino holds a federal Type A concession valid until 2044. It is the second casino in the canton of Vaud and is operated by the French family-owned Tranchant Group. Management anticipates approximately 300,000 annual entries and an initial yearly turnover of 40 million francs.

Financial distributions include half of the turnover being paid to AVS funds, an annual payment of approximately 450,000 francs to the municipality of Prilly, and expected cantonal tax revenues for Vaud between three and four million francs per year.
