Grand Castélou announces wild boar hunt schedule for 2026-2027

A schedule of wild boar hunts has been announced for the Grand Castélou domain in Narbonne, spanning from September 2026 to February 2027. These operations are intended to regulate wild boar populations to prevent damage to crops and livestock fencing, and to protect local biodiversity, particularly wetland bird species from predation and habitat disturbance.

For safety reasons, the Grand Castélou site will be closed to the public from midnight until 1:00 PM on scheduled hunt days. The hunts are organized by the ACCA de Narbonne in coordination with the Ville de Narbonne, the Conservatoire du littoral, and the Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise en Méditerranée.
