Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève announces 2026 watch nominations
The Foundation of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) has announced the 84 nominated timepieces for its 26th edition. These selections were chosen from 320 models submitted by 194 different brands across 14 categories.
The nominated watches will compete for 19 different prizes, including the top honor, the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix. The winners are scheduled to be announced during an official awards ceremony in Geneva on Saturday, November 7.
A global roadshow will showcase the nominated pieces. The tour begins in Mumbai, India, from September 28 to October 1, followed by a stop in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 15 to 18. Finally, the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire in Geneva will host an exhibition of all 84 timepieces from October 29 to November 15.
Notable nominees include Konstantin Chaykin’s ThinKing Mystery, described as the world’s thinnest mass-produced mechanical watch at 1.65 mm, and Christiaan van der Klaauw’s CVDK Grand Planetarium Eccentric Silicium, which features a hand-painted solar system.
