Grand Reims Mobilités updates bus network for school year
The Grand Reims Mobilités bus network is implementing several changes for the upcoming school year. A major update includes the launch of the Orélys O2 line, which replaces the U9 line. Starting August 31, this new service will connect the train station to the Cormontreuil shopping center using ten high-service buses.
Other adjustments include service improvements for the Neufchâtel sector via the U4 line, new stops for the U1 line in Tinqueux, and the relocation of the Line 5 express terminus to the renovated Saint-Symphorien stadium parking area. Additionally, five stops have been upgraded to ensure accessibility for persons with reduced mobility.
However, these changes may face disruption. The CGT, FO, and CFDT unions have filed a strike notice for September 1, citing disputes over working conditions and wage negotiations.
