Grand Slam Player Advisory Council members announced
The four Grand Slam tournaments have announced the composition of the new Grand Slam Player Advisory Council. The twelve-member body, consisting of six men and six women, is designed to facilitate direct dialogue between athletes and tournament organizers regarding sporting regulations and economic matters, such as prize money distribution and revenue sharing.
Notably, world number one Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will not serve on the council. The men's representatives include Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Lorenzo Musetti, and Arthur Rinderknech. The women's representatives include Elena Rybakina, Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Elina Svitolina, Iva Jovic, and Maria Sakkari.
The council aims to address common sporting issues across the Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open, though specific discussions regarding prize money and welfare will be handled individually with each Major tournament.
