Grand Teton National Park begins fall closures and construction
Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is beginning its annual fall closing procedures, which will result in the seasonal closure of various facilities, roads, and attractions until next spring.
Due to ongoing construction projects aimed at preparing for the park's 2029 centennial, access patterns this year will differ from typical years. Affected areas include the Moose-Wilson Road, Taggart Lake Trailhead, North Park Road, and Teton Park Road at the Moose Entrance Station.
Key infrastructure projects include improvements to the Mormon Row Historic District, featuring a new paved parking lot and enhanced trails to protect natural resources. The Taggart Lake Trailhead is also undergoing redevelopment to accommodate more vehicles, including campers and horse trailers, while the Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area will be updated for better large-vehicle access.
