Grand Theft Auto 6 to feature refueling and criminal profiling

New details regarding Grand Theft Auto 6 suggest an increased emphasis on realism and player behavior tracking. Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson indicated that vehicles in the game will require refueling, though he noted the process is designed to be “pretty fast” to avoid player frustration.

Additionally, reports from a closed-door presentation suggest the game will feature a “Criminal Profile” system. This mechanic reportedly tracks the player's approach to crime across four main levels: Professional, Aggressive, Violent, and Psycho. Unlike morality systems in other titles, this system focuses on how players conduct criminal activities rather than judging their character.

The profile is expected to track protagonists Jason and Lucia separately. If a player engages in extreme or unnecessary violence, the profile icon may eventually shatter, at which point the game will cease grading the player's behavior for the remainder of the playthrough.
