Grand Theft Auto VI set for November 2026 release

Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. The title will be available on PlayStation 5 (including Digital Edition and PS5 Pro) and Xbox Series X|S. Older hardware, specifically PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will not support the game.

Pre-orders for the title have reached significant milestones, surpassing 39 million units and generating over $3 billion in revenue. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company, expects the release to drive net bookings above $8 billion in Fiscal Year 2027.

Recent gameplay previews released via Netflix have showcased the game's setting in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida. The footage highlighted advanced graphics, character mechanics involving protagonists Lucia and Jason, and new environmental interactions. While the game features high-fidelity visuals, it is noted that GTA Online will not be available at the initial launch.
