Grande Fratello Vip season 9 confirmed for September 2026

Mediaset announced that the ninth edition of the reality show Grande Fratello Vip will return in September 2026, moving the launch forward from the previously expected spring slot. Endemol Shine Italy is already preparing the cast during the summer, aiming for a line‑up of well‑known Italian TV personalities rather than unknown newcomers.

Among the most discussed possibilities are the return of veteran showgirl Valeria Marini and names from other Mediaset formats such as Gianmarco Steri and Martina De Ioannon from Uomini e Donne, as well as Giovanni Grazioso and Gabriele Govoni from Temptation Island. Earlier speculation about Brazilian pop star Gretchen joining the show was dismissed as fan‑driven rumor, and former contestant Rocco Casalino has publicly denied any involvement.

The production is accelerating its casting process with the goal of finalising the roster before the summer break.
