Grander Katenschinken recalls diced ham over Listeria risk

German meat producer Grander Katenschinken has issued a voluntary recall of its Holsteiner Katenschinken diced‑ham product after Listeria bacteria were detected in a specific batch (charge 0826). The recalled items, with best‑before dates of 03‑08‑2026, 07‑08‑2026 and 14‑08‑2026, were sold in Schleswig‑Holstein and Hamburg.

Listeria can cause listeriosis, a serious infection especially dangerous for pregnant women, seniors and people with weakened immune systems. The company advises consumers not to eat the product and to return it to the point of purchase for a full refund, even without a receipt. Grander Katenschinken has removed the affected items from stores and provided contact details for further inquiries.
