Grandmother of French Rugby Star Antoine Dupont Dies in Castelnau-Magnoac

Alice Dupont‑Laguilhony, known locally as “Mimy”, died on Wednesday 5 August in Castelnau‑Magnoac, France. A former postal worker, she and her husband Pierre ran the Hôtel Dupont on the village square from the 1950s, a venue described as a “beacon of the department”.

Mimy was the grandmother of Antoine Dupont, the internationally‑capped rugby player for Stade Toulousain. Her funeral is scheduled for Tuesday 11 August at 15:00 in the church of Castelnau‑Magnoac.
