Grant Forrest wins Open de España in Madrid

Grant Forrest secured his first DP World Tour victory outside of Scotland by winning the Open de España at Real Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. Finishing at 14-under par, Forrest clinched the title with a birdie on the 18th hole to edge out Eugenio Chacarra and Victor Perez.

The victory earns the 33-year-old invitations to the 2027 Masters Tournament at Augusta National and the 155th Open Championship at St Andrews. The final round featured a tight contest, with home favorite Chacarra mounting a significant charge to finish just one stroke behind Forrest.

Other notable performances included Ludvig Åberg, who finished tied for seventh, and Shane Lowry, who ended the tournament tied for 13th.
