Granátula de Calatrava hosts V poetry recital for peace

The V Poetry Recital, titled ‘Palabras para la Paz y la Vida’ (Words for Peace and Life), took place on Saturday, August 22, in the Plaza de la Constitución of Granátula de Calatrava. The event featured poets from the La Mancha region delivering messages focused on memory, resistance to war, and critiques of contemporary power structures.

The venue served as a cultural hub, featuring the ‘Rincón Literario’ (Literary Corner), an outdoor space created by the local town hall through the ‘Bancos Literarios’ project by Grupo Oretania. The area is characterized by its proximity to the Municipal Library and local landmarks, including the Church of Santa Ana and a monument to the oil mill, which honors the region's agricultural heritage.
