Grape producers in Cosío receive refrigeration support

Grape producers in Cosío, Aguascalientes, have acquired new refrigeration equipment through support from the state government and the Secretaría de Desarrollo Rural y Agroempresarial (Sedrae). The new facility allows for the storage of up to 20 tons of grapes under controlled temperatures, extending their shelf life.

This infrastructure enables producers to avoid immediate post-harvest sales and access markets beyond their local area. Beneficiaries have already secured a sale to Monterrey, marking an expansion of their commercial reach. Aguascalientes currently ranks fourth nationally in grape production.
