GRAS workers receive annual leave allowance after 18 years

Workers at the GRAS public transport company in Sarajevo have received their annual leave allowance for the first time in 18 years. Adnan Šteta, the Sarajevo Canton Minister of Transport, announced the payment during a visit to the company's facilities.

Šteta noted that the payment marks a significant shift from previous years when employees faced months of unpaid wages, strikes, and an inability to access pensions or medical services due to unpaid contributions. He attributed the company's past financial instability and multi-million mark losses to previous governments and management structures rather than the workers themselves.

According to the Minister, the company has seen improvements through the renewal of vehicles and infrastructure, resulting in regular salaries and consistent social security contributions. He emphasized that ensuring worker security and rights is essential for providing quality public transportation services to citizens.
