GRASS 2026 conference to address Baltic Sea eutrophication

The GRASS 2026 international conference, titled ‘Is a Baltic Sea without eutrophication possible?’, is scheduled for October 12-13, 2026, in Silnowo, Poland. Organized by the Polski Klub Ekologiczny and Coalition Clean Baltic, the hybrid event will address the critical issue of Baltic Sea eutrophication.

The program aims to explore political and agricultural strategies to mitigate nutrient runoff. Key topics include the role of peatlands and wetlands in limiting biogen flow, as well as soil management practices to retain water and nutrients. The event will bring together scientists, agricultural professionals, environmental organizations, and government officials for presentations, workshops, and field visits to the Juchowo biodynamic farm and nearby wetlands.
