GRASS to showcase furniture technology innovations at SICAM 2026

The Austrian motion systems specialist GRASS will present new furniture technologies at the SICAM 2026 trade fair in Pordenone, Italy. Under the guiding principle of ‘The Inner Standard,’ the company aims to highlight how luxury and quality are increasingly defined by interior details, smooth movement, and precise finishes.

A key innovation is ‘illuxo,’ a slim LED lighting strip designed for the Vionaro V8 and Nova Pro Scala drawer systems. The strip clips onto the frame and is color-matched to the furniture, illuminating the interior upon opening to enhance both visibility and design.

GRASS is also focusing on extreme minimalism through its ‘eight millimeter’ concept. This includes the Vionaro V8 steel frame, which maintains stability at just eight millimeters in thickness, as well as thin interior fronts and design strips. The company will showcase two future-oriented studies: a kitchen construction utilizing eight-millimeter material thickness and a wooden box concept featuring a click-on front system.
