Graudiņa and Samoilova to play for bronze at European Championship

The Latvian beach volleyball duo of Tīna Graudiņa and Anastasija Samoilova lost their semifinal match at the European Championship in Stare Jablonki, Poland. The top-seeded world champions fell to the Spanish pair, Sofija Isuskisa and Tanja Moreno, with a score of 1-2 (21:13, 14:21, 10:15).

Graudiņa and Samoilova will now compete in the bronze medal match against the French duo of Klemensa Vjerā and Alina Šamero. The French team reached the semifinals after defeating the second-seeded Dutch pair, Katja Stama and Raisa Shon, with a 1-2 score.

Prior to the semifinal loss, the Latvian pair had a strong tournament run, defeating teams from Estonia, Ukraine, and Germany in the group stages and knockout rounds.
