Gravataí releases report on urban transport bidding process

The City of Gravataí has released a report detailing questions and answers from a public hearing regarding the upcoming bidding process for the city's urban collective transport system. The hearing, held on July 29, served as a preparatory phase for the new concession.

According to Arno Leonhardt, the Municipal Secretary of Urban Mobility, the feedback received will be used to shape the guidelines for modernizing the transport system. The proposed concession is expected to last 15 years, with the official public notice scheduled for publication in December 2026. The current contract is set to expire in April 2027.

The proposal was developed through studies conducted by the Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas (Fipe) in collaboration with Semurb. One significant change under consideration is the separation between the Public Fare paid by passengers and the Technical Remuneration Fare paid by the municipality.
