Gravedører selected for Fortaleza Rock XV Festival

The youth metal band Gravedører, originating from Tenjo, has been selected to perform at the Fortaleza Rock XV Festival in Cajicá. The event is recognized as a significant platform for independent rock in the Cundinamarca region.

The band's lineup consists of Juan Esteban Rodríguez on vocals, Jerónimo Rodríguez and Joaquín Briceño on guitars, Juan Simón Jurado on bass, and Samuel Gutiérrez on drums. Their musical style is characterized by a fusion of thrash, black, sludge, and nu metal.

During the selection process, judges praised the group's technical proficiency and musical maturity. Specifically, producer Chato Rivas noted the difficulty of their musical style, while Latin Grammy winner Paula Ríos highlighted the complexity of their material despite the young age of the members. Additionally, journalist Alejandro Marín commended the band's ability to connect different eras of metal, ranging from the 1986 San Francisco thrash scene to contemporary European sounds.
