Gravina hosts Food Democracy HerWay event on food governance
The Food Democracy HerWay roadshow arrived in Gravina to discuss the future of the food industry, focusing on biodiversity, territorial regeneration, and the role of women in food supply chain governance.
Hosted at the Macnil-initiated Digital Nursery, the event brought together institutional representatives, entrepreneurs, and civil society to explore food democracy. This concept emphasizes food access, the valuation of diversity, and social justice. Discussions highlighted food as a tool for female empowerment and community cohesion, rather than just an economic factor. Participants included representatives from Slow Food Puglia and the ITS Academy Turismo Puglia.
