Japanese cat photos spark viral reactions on X

A photograph of a cat named Mitarashi, captured while lifting a leg to groom, was posted by the X account AKR. The image, praised for its "geometric" silhouette, attracted over 1.2 million views and comments such as "猫とイラストが完璧に一致していて面白すぎる" (the cat and illustration match perfectly, too funny).

Another post featured a Siberian cat called Tsukushi sleeping with its upper body jutting out of a cage. Viewers described the pose as "gravity ignored!" and the post gathered more than 20,000 likes, with remarks like "重力無視！可愛すぎる" (defying gravity, too cute).

A third image, taken in a Tokyo alley, showed a stray cat giving a disdainful, "donbiki" stare at a passerby. The photo prompted humorous reactions online, with commenters noting "ナイスショット過ぎて笑いが止まらない" (the shot is so good it makes people laugh).
