Gray Line launches tourism operations in El Salvador
Gray Line, a global sightseeing operator, has officially launched operations in El Salvador. The company, backed by Israeli, Dominican, and local capital, aims to capitalize on the country’s growing tourism sector, which reached $2.1 billion in revenue by June 2026 and accounts for 10% of the national GDP.
The initial service offering includes one-day tours, private and shared tourist transportation, customized packages, and airport transfers. Key destinations covered include the Ruta de las Flores, Lake Coatepeque, El Tunco, El Zonte, the San Salvador Historic Center, and various volcanoes and beaches.
A second phase of expansion is scheduled for October 2026, which will introduce new vehicles and specialized products such as the Gray Line City Tour and the brand’s signature Hop-On Hop-Off service. Partners noted that improvements in public safety under the administration of President Nayib Bukele have increased international confidence in both leisure travel and foreign direct investment.
