Grażyna Brodzińska honored in Ostrołęka as music festival begins

In Ostrołęka, Poland, a commemorative plaque known as the ‘Ostrołęcka Nuta’ was unveiled near the city hall to honor singer Grażyna Brodzińska. This marks the second such installation in the city, following the previous dedication to tenor Wiesław Ochman. The plaques are embedded in the pavement and feature QR codes that allow passersby to listen to recordings of the honored artists.

The unveiling ceremony served as the inauguration for the 11th edition of the Ostrołęckie Operalia Music Festival, which runs from August 28 to September 6, 2026. The festival's opening event, titled ‘My American Dream,’ features a jazz and big band style performance without a symphony orchestra, including works from Broadway. Performers for the gala include Grażyna Brodzińska, Edyta Krzemień, Jakub Milewski, and Łukasz Zagrobelny, accompanied by the Chopin University Big Band.
