Grayscale identifies three crypto projects targeting AI infrastructure

Grayscale Investments has highlighted three blockchain projects positioned to support artificial intelligence infrastructure, focusing on data supply, hardware financing, and computing power.

DATA Network aims to provide training datasets—such as images, video, and voice recordings—to AI laboratories. The project tracks the origin and usage rights of human-contributed materials. The Sui Foundation recently announced a $30 million investment in DATA Network as it transitions to the Sui blockchain and utilizes the Walrus storage layer.

USD. AI (ticker: CHIP) focuses on GPU financing by using computing hardware as collateral for on-chain loans. This structure aims to connect blockchain capital to the high demand for AI processing equipment.

Pearl (ticker: PEARL) utilizes a ‘useful proof-of-work’ model, where GPUs perform AI tasks like matrix multiplication while simultaneously securing the blockchain. Grayscale noted that Pearl’s token saw a 580% increase over a three-month period ending October 22, though it cautioned that long-term success depends on adoption and competitive economics.
