Grayscale launches first spot Zcash ETF on NYSE Arca

Grayscale has launched the world’s first spot Zcash ETF, trading on the NYSE Arca under the ticker ZCSH. The product is a conversion of the existing nine-year-old Grayscale Zcash Trust into an exchange-traded fund, allowing investors to gain exposure to the privacy-focused cryptocurrency through traditional brokerage accounts without direct ownership of the ZEC token.

The launch follows a period of significant price volatility for Zcash, which saw its value rally toward $850 amid growing interest in privacy-centric digital assets. This movement occurred shortly after developers patched a critical vulnerability in Zcash’s shielded transaction system.

Grayscale has announced that it will direct 100% of the management fees collected during the fund’s first year toward marketing, education, and supporting the Zcash ecosystem. The ETF carries an annual sponsor fee of 2.5%, which is payable in ZEC.
