Grayscale predicts minimal Bitcoin impact from Fed rate hikes

Grayscale, an asset manager responsible for major Bitcoin ETFs, suggests that recent interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve will have minimal impact on Bitcoin. Analysts at the firm characterize the Fed's recent 25-basis-point increase as a “mid-cycle adjustment” rather than a fundamental shift in monetary policy or the start of a prolonged tightening cycle.

The firm distinguishes this current environment from the aggressive tightening campaign that began in 2022, which heavily pressured digital assets. Grayscale notes that while the Fed raised rates to a target range of 3.75%-4% to combat inflation, the scale and duration of these adjustments are unlikely to drive major shifts in capital allocation toward digital assets.

Despite market expectations for potential further increases through 2026 or 2027, Bitcoin has shown resilience, recently trading in the $81,500 range following regulatory developments from the SEC and CFTC.
