Grayscale to implement 3-for-1 share split for Zcash ETF
Grayscale has filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to implement a 3-for-1 forward share split for its spot Zcash ETF (ZCSH), which trades on NYSE Arca. The move is intended to increase accessibility for individual investors by lowering the nominal price per share following a period of significant growth in the underlying Zcash (ZEC) asset.
Shareholders of record at the close of trading on September 28 will receive two additional shares for every one share held. The new shares are expected to be distributed after the market closes on September 29, with adjusted trading beginning before the market opens on September 30. The split will not change the total value of an investor's holdings or the fund's investment objectives.
The ETF has seen rapid expansion since its August 25 debut, with assets under management exceeding $500 million and recent inflows totaling over $233 million. This surge follows a substantial increase in the value of Zcash tokens over the past year.
