Grayscale Zcash ETF announces 3-for-1 share split

Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) is undergoing a 3-for-1 forward share split following a significant surge in investor interest. Since its launch on NYSE Arca on August 25, the fund has attracted more than $233 million in cumulative inflows, including approximately $112 million on September 8 alone. As of September 17, the ETF held roughly $890 million in net assets and generated over $11 billion in cumulative trading volume.

According to SEC filings, shareholders of record at the close of trading on September 28 will receive two additional ZCSH shares for every share currently owned. The new shares will be distributed after the market closes on September 29, with split-adjusted trading scheduled to begin before the market opens on September 30. The split is intended to lower the price per share to potentially attract more retail demand, though it does not change the underlying economic value of an investor’s position.

The ETF's growth coincides with a rally in Zcash (ZEC), which recently surpassed $1,200. Market analysts note that while idiosyncratic catalysts like new European ETPs and institutional investments support the asset, broader macroeconomic factors and geopolitical tensions continue to influence market sentiment.
