Grayscale Zcash ETF sees $93.56 million in weekly outflows
Grayscale’s Zcash spot exchange-traded fund (ZCSH) experienced significant volatility, losing approximately $93.56 million in outflows over a single week. After a strong debut on NYSE Arca on August 25, 2026, which saw cumulative net inflows reach $271 million by mid-September, the fund faced heavy redemptions. Notable single-day outflows included $30.25 million on September 30 and $26.93 million on October 2.
As a result of these retreats, cumulative net inflows dropped from roughly $268 million to $212.56 million. Assets under management, which peaked near $979 million in September, fell to approximately $751 million by early October. To facilitate trading, Grayscale implemented a 3-for-1 forward share split for ZCSH, which took effect in late September.
Parallel to the ETF's performance, the price of Zcash (ZEC) has seen fluctuations, trading around $1,333.50—roughly 21% below its recent peak of $1,698.00. Market sentiment has also been impacted by a reported $387 million hack on the Bitget exchange, which involved transfers on the Zcash blockchain.
