WWE NXT announces September 15 card and title contender match

WWE NXT has announced its lineup for the September 15 episode, headlined by a triple threat number one contender’s match. Mason Rook, Tony D’Angelo, and Saquon Shugars will compete to determine the next challenger for NXT Champion Grayson Waller. The match was set after Rook secured a decisive pinfall during a six-man tag team match.

Other scheduled matches include Kali Armstrong versus Lizzy Rain and a tag team contest featuring DarkState members Cutler James and Osiris Griffin against Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux. Additionally, Myles Borne is expected to issue a public apology to Tavion Heights.

NXT Champion Grayson Waller recently addressed his move to the brand, denying rumors of a demotion. He stated that his return to NXT was requested by executive producer Shawn Michaels to bolster the men’s division. Meanwhile, Waller commented on CM Punk, noting that Punk has been observed helping younger talent backstage by watching tapes, though Waller expressed a desire to test himself against the veteran in the ring.
