Graz gastronomy scene expands with new openings in 2026

The culinary scene in Graz is expanding with several new openings scheduled for autumn 2026. A notable addition is Montclair Bagels, located in Zinzendorfgasse 1. Founded by Judith Karner and Romano Renelt, the establishment offers handmade, hand-rolled bagels inspired by New York style culture. The concept was developed by Karner during her studies at Montclair State University in the United States, creating a culinary link to Graz’s transatlantic partner city.

Other upcoming developments in the Graz gastronomy sector include the Uni:que corner in the former Sägewerk Heinrich, which offers customizable dishes alongside Brazilian specialties like Pão de Queijo. The city is also seeing new developments in the university district and city center, including new clubs and dining bars.
