Graziano Lovo, cycling school founder, dies at 79
Graziano Lovo, known as ‘Ciano’, the founder of the Vo’ Euganeo Cycling School in the province of Padua, has passed away at the age of 79. Reports indicate his death occurred during the morning while he was operating a corn sheller.
A former competitive cyclist trained at the Ciclisti Padovani school, Lovo dedicated much of his life to youth sports development. He was known for teaching young athletes the importance of dedication and sacrifice, frequently telling them, ‘without sacrifice, one does not achieve their goals.’
Under his guidance, several athletes reached professional levels, including Alberto Dainese, Marco Fincato, and Filippo Fortin, as well as female cyclists Sofia Beggio and Linda Sanarini. He is survived by his wife Odilla, his sons Loris and Andrea, and several other family members. His son, Loris Lovo, serves as a counselor for the Veneto Regional Committee of the Italian Cycling Federation.
