Great Eastern Life Indonesia launches disability inclusion initiative

Great Eastern Life Indonesia has launched ‘The Great Ambassador Project: CETAR’ (Cause Everyone Is Talented and Reliable) for people with disabilities. Developed in collaboration with Precious One as part of the GREAT Comfund 2026, the initiative aims to foster an inclusive environment by providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to contribute through their talents.

The project serves as a platform for employees to better understand disabilities, build inclusive communication, and create collaborations that open professional spaces for people with disabilities. This move aligns with efforts to integrate social inclusion and environmental sustainability into the company’s operations.

According to 2024 data from the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics, there are over 17.8 million people with disabilities in Indonesia, with a labor participation rate of 23.94%. While the International Labour Organization (ILO) notes that Indonesia has strengthened legal frameworks for disability inclusion in employment, translating these policies into tangible labor market results remains a challenge.
