Great National Dictation registrations exceed 2,000 participants

Over 2,000 people have already registered for the fourth edition of the Great National Dictation, an event organized by the Ministry of Education and Research under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova. The event is scheduled for August 31 in the Great National Assembly Square to celebrate Romanian Language Day.

The Ministry expects approximately 3,500 participants nationwide. While about 2,500 are expected to participate in the main event in the capital, over 1,000 others will join similar events in various districts and municipalities across the country. Registration remains open until August 24 at 23:59.

The initiative aims to encourage the correct use and knowledge of the Romanian language. Participants' work will be evaluated by a commission of linguists and educational specialists based on the 2022 orthographic, orthoepic, and morphological dictionary published by the Romanian Academy. Top performers will be recognized at a public event.
