Great Pyramid of Giza may encode astronomical mathematical code

New research by independent researcher Sefy Levy suggests that the dimensions of the Great Pyramid of Giza may encode a mathematical and astronomical system related to the ancient Egyptian understanding of the universe. Rather than serving solely as a funerary monument for Pharaoh Khufu, the study proposes that the pyramid’s height, base, and proportions act as a stone record of knowledge regarding time, space, and celestial movements.

Levy’s analysis identifies numerical patterns within the structure that correspond to lunar cycles—specifically approaching 27.55 days, the interval between successive lunar perigees—as well as cycles related to planets visible to the naked eye, such as Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Mars. The research also notes geometric approximations involving the number pi and the golden ratio.

While the findings present an alternative perspective to the mainstream Egyptological view of the pyramid as a tomb, the study remains hypothetical. The numerical correlations have not undergone independent scientific peer review, and critics note that such patterns may emerge after the fact once measurements and target values are known.
