Great Southern Mining launches 20,000‑metre drill campaign in WA's Laverton gold district

Great Southern Mining will commence a 20,000‑metre reverse‑circulation drilling program at its Duketon and Mon Ami gold projects in Western Australia’s Laverton region. The first phase, beginning next week, targets the Golden Boulder and Amy Clarke discoveries, where recent diamond drilling indicated steeper gold‑bearing lodes and deeper mineralisation potential. At Golden Boulder, a drill hole intersected 0.72 m at 4.07 g/t gold and extended the mineralised zone 40 m down‑dip, suggesting an 85° dip that could host significant depth resources. The program also aims to test continuity along the Main Line trend, infill the southern section, and explore extensions at depth and along strike. Amy Clarke, previously drilled to shallow depths, will be evaluated for deeper extensions and strike continuity. Great Southern has funded the campaign with a $4.6 million equity placement completed in March and holds a JORC‑compliant resource of 1.56 Mt at 1.11 g/t gold (55,500 oz) at the nearby Mon Ami project.
