Great Southern Mining reports high-grade gold hits at Mon Ami
Great Southern Mining has reported significant drilling results at its Mon Ami gold project near Laverton, Western Australia. The latest reverse circulation drilling campaign has extended mineralisation by up to 70 metres down-dip and 55 metres down-plunge.
Key drilling intercepts include 16 metres at 3.37g/t gold from 178 metres, featuring a 4-metre core at 8.54g/t and 2 metres at 6.86g/t. Other notable hits include 19 metres at 1.12g/t and 6 metres at 1.83g/t.
The Mon Ami project currently holds a JORC resource of 1.56 million tonnes at 1.11 grams per tonne gold. The drilling aims to expand the known deposit by exploring deeper levels and testing for a potential repeat lode at the Blanc Platt prospect. Previous metallurgical tests indicated average gold recoveries of approximately 95 per cent.
