Great Wall Motor unveils Haval H10 plug‑in hybrid SUV in China

Great Wall Motor introduced the Haval H10, the brand's new flagship SUV, at a launch event in China. The model replaces the previous HX designation and slots above the H9 in the lineup. It is offered in a five‑seat configuration and a longer six‑seat version, the latter measuring 5.299 m in length, making it larger than the current Toyota Land Cruiser 300.

The H10 is built on the GWM One architecture, which also underpins the Wey V9X, and uses a monocoque chassis instead of a body‑on‑frame design. Power comes from the Hi4 plug‑in hybrid system that pairs a 1.5‑litre turbocharged engine with a dedicated four‑speed hybrid gearbox and a 42.8 kWh battery, providing an electric‑only range of up to 180 km (CLTC). Features include dual‑level headlights, an external spare wheel, a large central touchscreen, and a digital instrument cluster. A more powerful 2.0‑litre variant is rumored for future release, and the vehicle is positioned to compete with models such as Lynk & Co 900.
