Great Wall Motors and MG Motor launch new hybrid cars in South America

Great Wall Motors introduced the updated Haval H6 Pro HEV in Argentina, pricing the five‑seat C‑segment SUV at about US$35,500. The model features a 1.5‑litre turbo‑charged engine paired with an electric motor for 243 hp, a 14.6‑inch infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster and a suite of driver‑assist technologies. Since its June 2025 debut, more than 2,200 units have been sold, making it one of the market’s best‑selling hybrid SUVs.

In Paraguay, MG Motor, backed by Grupo Condor, launched the MG3 HEV, a compact hatchback that uses a self‑charging hybrid system and does not require external charging. The vehicle offers a five‑year or 120,000‑km warranty and a seven‑year battery guarantee. Brand Manager Luz Maldonado highlighted the model’s blend of savings, technology and design, emphasizing that drivers can enjoy higher fuel efficiency without sacrificing style.
