Great Wall Motor updates ORA Ballet Cat electric vehicle
Great Wall Motor (GWM) is preparing a technical update for its ORA Ballet Cat, an electric vehicle designed specifically to appeal to female consumers in China. The model, which bears a strong resemblance to the classic Volkswagen Beetle, was originally launched in 2022.
The vehicle features several specialized interior amenities, including an illuminated make-up mirror, a dedicated compartment for cosmetics, and an integrated selfie camera. It also includes a “Lady Driving Mode” that combines driver-assistance features like adaptive cruise control and parking assist. One notable feature is the “Warm Man” mode, which uses a single button to activate seat heating and climate control to assist with menstrual discomfort.
The upcoming technical revision is expected to increase motor power and top speed. The model may also be rebranded as the ORA 6. Current pricing for the existing models ranges from approximately 193,300 yuan to 223,000 yuan, equivalent to roughly 24,900 to 28,800 euros.
