Great Western Mining reports tungsten assay results while Grande Portage validates backfill strength

Great Western Mining Corporation announced positive tungsten assay results from a machine‑cut channel sampling programme at its Defender‑Pine Crow project in Mineral County, Nevada. Four new channels sampled in April 2026 returned significant tungsten mineralisation, including up to 0.34% WO₃ over 3 m, and low levels of penalty elements. The results support a planned fully‑permitted maiden drilling campaign.

Grande Portage Resources reported that preliminary strength tests of cemented rockfill (CRF) samples for its New Amalga Gold project near Juneau, Alaska, met or exceeded the required criteria for its primary overhand longhole stoping method. The tests used waste‑rock and ore‑sorter reject material with a 4% cement binder, demonstrating adequate uniaxial compressive strength and confirming the company’s small‑footprint underground mining strategy.
